Location: Nikšić
Partners: NVU “Putevima predaka”
Activities: The Petrović Njegoš Foundation is one of the sponsors of the projects implemented by the Non-Governmental Organization “Putevima predaka”. “Plant a Tree for a Green Ecological Nikšić” was a nine-month project in 2021 resulting in the arrangement of the schoolyard of the Secondary School, the yard of the kindergarten “Radost”, and the locality Trebjesa. Thousands of seedlings were planted on Trebjesa. Two major ecological actions were carried out, removing a significant amount of waste near the recreation trail. In 2022, we supported the “Experience Nikšić” project aimed at strengthening rural tourism and connecting supply and demand, as well as promoting natural and cultural-historical sites and healthy lifestyles. In 2023, we supported the ecological project “Nature Expects Humanity from Us” to reforest Trebjesa, collaborating with educational institutions, greening schoolyards, planting nearly 2,000 seedlings, and marking important ecological dates.
