After a particularly cold winter in 2012, the Foundation distributed food packages in several towns in Montenegro (Berane, Rožaje, Andrijevica and Plav) and donated a short-term aid to socially vulnerable families from Cetinje.
SHORT-TERM AID: In June 2012, the Petrovic Njegos Foundation and the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje provided financial assistance to the 50 most vulnerable families in Cetinje. Prince Nikola and the Mayor of Cetinje, Aleksandar Bogdanovic, presented the financial aid to the representatives of the vulnerable families.
DISTRIBUTION OF HUMANITARIAN PACKAGES: The most vulnerable families in four Montenegrin municipalities in the north – Berane, Rozaje, Andrijevica and Plav, received humanitarian assistance packages, following the storm that struck Montenegro in February 2012. In the beginning of 2012, Montenegro was struck by a severe storm, with heavy snowfall. The northern part of Montenegro suffered a lot of problems due to it, transportation by road was impossible, and highways were closed for more than two weeks.
