Once again the Petrovic Njegos Foundation has supported the Festival “Days of Francophonie“, which was held in several Montenegrin cities from 20th to 30th March.

This year the Francophonie days under the motto “Art in Every Form” offered a wide-ranging programme of events to Montenegrin audience – from concerts of French “chanteurs”, classical music concerts, contemporary circus, exhibitions, competitions, movie screenings, up to the Festival of Francophonie Theatre.

In collaboration with the French Institute, the Foundation organized on the March 26th the screening of the movie “The Mystery of Picasso” by the famous French director Henry-George Clouzot, in the residence of the Foundation, Petrovic Castle in Podgorica. The second screening was organized in Cetinje,  on March 27th in the former French Embassy.

Addressing the audience on that occasion Prince Nikola expressed his satisfaction that the Foundation participates in the Season of Francophonie. “The film I have chosen to present to you in order to illustrate the theme of this season, “Art in Every Form,” is a film that represents a significant date in the movie and art history. The film, which was directed by Henri Georges Clouseau in 1956, was declared as a national treasure by a French government” – he added.  The Prince has also emphasized the importance of this event in bringing closer the two countries, France and Montenegro.
