The initiative to organize architectural and urban planning workshops which would examine the periphery of Cetinje, more precisely the zone of Bajice, stemmed from a desire to protect, valorize and encourage the sustainable development of this rural community.
Conference “Choosing a Sustainable Future: Learning from experiences – Eco-village at Ithaca (USA)” was held on 16 June 2013 in Cetinje, with the support of the US Embassy in Montenegro and the Old Capital Cetinje. The conference is part of the architectural and urban workshop “Bajice or city in the field”, which for the second year in a row the Petrovic Njegos Foundation is organizing in order to valorize and foster the sustainable development of Bajice.
SUPPORT TO THE CYCLING CLUB “PERUN”: In 2012, the Foundation has supported the activities of the Cycling club “Perun” from Nikšić, in terms of promoting cycling in Montenegrin society. In 2013, we also supported promotion activities of the club “Perun”.
In december 2012, the Foudnation signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Association for Democratic Prosperity – ZID.
A workshop “Agriculture, landscape and economic development” was organized in 2012, in Gornja Lastva, Tivat Municipality, in cooperation with the NGO Napredak, Gornja Lastva, NGO Green Home from Podgorica, NGO Expeditio from Kotor, through the project CSE in Heritage – Civil Society Involvement in the Preservation of Architectural Cultural Heritage in the Western Balkans, implemented within the IPA Program supported by the European Commission – support to partner activities implemented by organizations in the field of culture.
