The play “Prometheus – a light attempt”, performed on 24 June, served to mark 40 years since the establishment of the DODEST theatre, and the Foundation provided financial support to KIC “Budo Tomovic” in the organization of this event.
The play was performed inside and outside KIC “Budo Tomovic”, with the antique choir and a video projection. This multimedia performance represents a remake of the play “Prometheus in chains”, with which DODEST started officially its work. Just as in 1975, the author of this play is Slobodan Milacic.
Original music was produced by Vjera Nikolic and Sukrija Zuti Serhatlic, using also the music by the Laibach band. Suzana Pajovic was responsible for design, the producer was Ljubo Kalicanin, and Goran Cetkovic was one of the collaborators. This project included also Aleksandar Gavranic (as the new Prometheus), Rifat Rastoder (the old Prometheus), Vjera Nikolic, Zuti Serhatlic, Eden Sekulovic, Cirkusfera – a theatre group from Belgrade, Sejfo Seferovic, Beli Lopicic, Ivana Milosevic, Dodest school of drama and drama studio of the KIC “Budo Tomovic”.
Together with the Petrovic Njegos Foundation, financial support for this event was provided by the Secretariat for Culture of the Capital of Podgorica. The DODEST anniversary is marked within the activities of the “Summer in Podgorica” festival.
